Cargo is a film on Netflix, starring Martin Freeman, and is based on the short story of the same name. The premise of the film is the actions of a father (Martin Freeman) to protect his infant daughter in the middle of a zombie apocalypse set in Austrailia. I did not know about the short film until after I had seen the film. With that in perspective, I found the film to be quite nuanced and well-made. There was no exaggeration of situations and no emotional drama involved that made the movie unbearable. Though there were bits (such as with the natives) that seemed out of place, overall the film managed to stick to its theme. Martin Freeman was quite good, and I like how he managed to not be 'Watson' or 'Bilbo Baggins' in this movie. Overall, if you like zombies, and hour about 2 hours to kill on Netflix, check out this film.
