description: A snow-filled mystery set in Wyoming

Wind River is a movie based on the novel of the same name. Set in Wyoming, its snow covered story is reminiscent of a similar feel as from Fargo. Wind River is a murder mystery, set in the cold barren place where people are tight knit and everything is personal. The direction is quite good in capturing the moments, and the screenplay does not waste its talents on dramatic representations. The movie does a great job of capturing the quiet and powerful psyche of people living in the plain white snow, and conveys it to the audience. It is a slow, but a very good film. There is no hand holding in the story, which is good, because none is required. Things are not left out for imagination but implied, heavily, throughout. Recommended to watch.
