review:
Utterly disappointing. This is the last book (as of now) in the Revelation Space universe. As such, one expects there to be a large payoff in terms of finishing up things from previous books, and to provide sufficient details to consider the plot 'complete'. The book starts off with a banger - makes one think this is going to be a good book. But no. Then we meander about from one plot armor-ladden situation to the next, all the while introducing random new things that have neither a background nor are they ever clarified in the end. What started off as an amazing book with an excellent world-building (Revelation Space) ends with every book getting progressively worse until we reach this tome of disappointment. The only solace in all this is that this is a rather shorter book as compared to the earlier ones - so there was less pages to finish the disappointment with.,
