review:
Clever book that is set in the Culture universe. It is always amazing to read more about the Culture - it is one of the few fully fleshed out worlds which don't have a hangover from the current times, and where there is truly 'science' and 'fiction'. In this case, the book is set after the events in 'Consider Phlebas', where the war and its effects continue to show a deep impact on the psyche - not human specifically but generally the absurdities that manifest in any sentient being. But this was not a serious or depressing book - it was quite interesting to see where the story was going and that there was an interesting story to experience no matter what. Waiting to read the next Culture book.,
