review:
The book is about Pilots - a neuralink type tech that gets you alert but not superintelligent. But the book is not about the tech at all. Instead, its about the normal people who have to put this in, have to face the subjective experiences of living in a world that increasingly considers having this as ableism and a status symbol. Brilliant restrained take. The only thing that felt off was the ending which became cliche for me, but did not detract from the rest of the book.,
