review:
The premise of the book seemed alluring. A department store where you go buy dreams? An economy built on emotional reactions? A character plot promising hidden wisdom and a takedown of busy lifebodies? Sold! I bought the physical book. Turned out to be a dud. The premise seemed exceedingly made up and changing arbitrarily as if we are kids learning from story book time. There is no details given to characters beyond what seems like a single facet that you hold them to for the entire story. Feels too emotional reaction driven rather than being about actual ideas or stories. Disappointing.,
